5 Places To Meet A Rich Husband in Lagos

A lot of female visitors who storm Lagos have romance at the back of their minds as they hope to meet the guy that would sweep them off their feet during their stay. Unfortunately, while single men are literally everywhere in the city, meeting quality single guys can be an arduous task. Everyone seems to be so busy, and the ones you manage to meet at bars and club may not exactly be what you would consider “quality”.
Truth is, finding eligible men in Lagos could be an elusive game if they are at a loss as to where to meet them. Jovago.com, Africa’s largest online hotel booking portal comes to the rescue with  top 5 ways girls in Lagos who are serious about taking their destiny can meet quality eligible men.
1. Get your blood pumping at the gym
If you have a gym in your hotel or a sport center around you, take advantage of it. Most of the men in Lagos are fitness conscious and they like to spend quality time at the gym. Basically, you would be killing two birds with one stone: you get to exercise your body, get your blood flowing, and also create opportunities to run into the love of your life!
Most of the men you will meet at the gym would be attractive and responsible as their presence at the gym already shows that they value their health. And do not forget to go for an attractive sports gear as opposed to the normal sweat pants and T-shirt.
2. Attend weddings
Anyone who lives in Lagos can attest to the fact that wedding are the number one place to meet single quality guys. Forget the lewd assumption that single men at weddings just want to get laid, if you keep that in mind, you will not make progress. Most of the men actually come to wedding to look out for the girls who rush out for the bouquet when the bride throws it to the crowd, that way they know they already stand a chance.
Do not deny any invitation to a wedding, especially when it is a friend or someone of good reputation. Just ensure you look great, keep a smile and look approachable, dance like your life depends on it, and of course, fight for that bouquet when you see it high up in the air.
3. Go to church
Rather than sit in your hotel room or place of accommodation on the Sunday while visiting, why not get up, get dressed and head out to church? You never know who you would meet and what better way to meet a quality single guy than coming across him in the presence of the lord? There is none better than a man who has high regard for God and stays committed to his religion. There is a higher chance of things working out with him, as most of the single men in church are in search of opportunities for serious relationships. The bonus is that you get to meet someone who shares the same faith and moral grounding as well. Luckily, there are a number of churches around Lagos that you visit.
4. Take a stroll at a private beach
Put meeting the perfect single guy on the side, visiting the private beaches or resorts in Lagos can be a rewarding experience on its own. From La Campagne Tropicana to  Kampe Ikare, Atican beach  or just Oniru beach, there are boundless opportunities to run into eligible men.
There are basically three kinds of guys you will see at the beach: those who are there alone, those with their group of male friend (their behavior will mark them out as single) and those who visit with their baes, girlfriends or wives. The first two are your best bet. Do not feel too shy to approach them and a strike up a conversation…most love stories begin with a few rods spoken.
5. Make your location visible online
A lot of people in Lagos meet their boyfriends and husbands online via social media apps like Instagram, Facebook or Snapchat Instamessage. In fact, this is the latest method of meeting single men in the city. Social media apps give users opportunities to find others with similar interests close to them. And so, unless your location is visible it might be difficult for guys in the area to see you and hit you up. Make your location visible the moment your feet touch the shores of Lagos and stay online.
If you do not have accounts on any of the social media platforms, search for online dating sites, there are some exclusive to Nigeria and even Lagos.  You can check out profiles and photographs and connect with whoever appeals to you.

Hausa Trader Kills Family Man Over N30 in Lagos

Confusion ensued on Monday at Mojeed Sanni Street, in the Igando area of Lagos, after a 40yrs old Hausa trader, Ibrahim Adamu, allegedly killed a bus driver, Lekan Adeleke.

Some residents and friends of the victim made a bonfire on the road as they chased away all Hausa traders in the community, threatening to avenge the killing.

The men were on the rampage when policemen from the Igando division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Olatunji Ajimuda, stormed the area.

The police team reportedly took Adeleke’s corpse to a mortuary, while the suspect, who was saved from being mobbed to death, was taken to the Area M command.

It was gathered that the deceased had bought noodles worth N230 from the suspect’s son on Sunday around 10.30pm.

He was said to have paid N200 and promised to pay the balance of N30 the following day, which didn’t go down well with the suspect’s son.

The son allegedly reported to his father, Mr. Adamu, who became angry and attacked 30-year-old Adeleke with a spiked plank.

The victim reportedly slumped and hit his head against the concrete edge of a gutter in the area.

A friend of the victim, Kehinde Akinduro, told Punch that Adeleke had actually paid the balance of N30 to the suspect’s son.

He said, “He was joking with the boy that despite being a customer, he went and reported him to his father. They started abusing each other. At this time, the son was already preparing noodles for me on the instruction of Adeleke.

The next thing I saw was that Adamu, who was eavesdropping, brought out a spiked plank and hit Adeleke with it. I cautioned him, but he faced me and hit me in the leg. I sustained some injuries.

When Adeleke saw that he could no longer handle the situation, he took to his heels. But the man followed him and hit him in the head as he tried to jump the gutter. He fell and hit his head against the edge of the gutter.

“When Adamu saw that he had become unconscious, he took him into his kiosk and poured water on his head. He was doing this when a large number of residents stormed the place. When he sighted them, he abandoned the man and took to his heels.”

He said the suspect, speaking in Hausa, asked his son to flee in another direction.

“The boy escaped, but we were able to get Adamu. We called the police and handed him over to them,” he added.

The mob was said to have destroyed Adamu’s kiosk and set it on fire after Adeleke died around 12am on Monday.

It was learnt that the victim and the suspect had a close relationship.

One of Adeleke’s close friends, Tunde, said the victim once protected Adamu from a robbery attack.

But Adamu is ill-tempered,” he added.

Tunde appealed for support for Adeleke’s family members, whom he said depended solely on him.

The victim was said to have recently bought a piece of land in Ogun State where he planned to build a house to accommodate his wife and nine-year-old daughter.

A bus driver, who did not want to be identified, said the policemen from the Igando division handled the situation maturely.

“The DPO spoke with the protesters. He released N15,000 for the corpse to be deposited in a morgue,” he added.

A source said a mob invaded the Igando Police Station in a bid to lynch the suspect, hence the DPO quickly transferred the suspect to the Area M Command.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said investigations were ongoing.

Fani Kayode Wants The President Dead?

Source: Tori News

Embattled former Minister of Aviation and People's Democratic Party chieftain, Femi Fani Kayode has taken an expensive jab at President Muhammadu Buhari via social media.
The controversial critic, Femi Fani Kayode recently shared a doctored image of President Muhammadu Buhari being led to death by Asari Dokubo and Nnamdi Kanu.

In the picture - Asari, a former Niger Delta militant and sworn enemy of the Buhari administration could be seen holding the President on chains and supported by the incarcerated leader of the Independent People of Biafra and Radio Biafra director, Kanu leading Buhari to death by hanging.

The picture considering the military camouflage sworn by people paints the scenario of a looming revolution by dissenting voices following an analysis by TORI NEWS.
This is coming on the heels of Buhari's rumoured death in London which has been refuted with real-time pictures of the First Man of Nigeria enjoying his vacation in Europe.

The seditious picture shared on the 28th of January, 2017 on a personal Facebook account of FFK led to series of attacks by pro-Buhari supporters during which the instigator maintained his ground about the President's death.

FFK has been in and out of prison this year as he faces strong allegations of corruption and money laundering as charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Chevron Fires 7000 Workers

Chevron Corporation last weekend tightened up the sack of 8, 500 staff in its Nigeria and global operations, and posted its first annual loss since at least 1980.
The company sacked 7,000 in 2016. That is after cuts of billions of dollars in asset sales and the accumulation of staggering debt to endure the industry collapse.
The company, said on its website that Nigeria was “an important part of Chevron’s business globally.” It revealed these in its post year-end results, published last weekend, noting that 2017 would also witness 15 per cent investments’ cut.
The United States (US) oil major, whose contracts’ termination led to the fresh sack of about 250 oil workers in Nigeria this month, is the first to publish its post year-end results and its results signalled the difficulties faced by the world’s biggest oil companies, as they struggle to emerge from the worst collapse in a generation.
Chevron, in the process that began in 2015, rounded up the number of sacked workers to 8,500 by December, 2016, according the last quarter report published by the New York Times.
The San-Ramon, California- based company, the report showed, laid off 7,000 staff before the end of 2016 in addition to the 1,500 it announced early in 2015.
The company had a $497 million loss last year and failed to replace all of the crude and natural gas it pumped with new reserves, it said in a statement.
The South West chairman of National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas (NUPENG) workers, Tokunbo Korodo, told New Telegraph that the company allegedly continues what he called the “antilabour activities, which has led to the sack of 250 workers.”
While Chevron is cutting its budget for 2017 by 15 per cent, shale drillers Continental Resources Inc. and Diamondback Energy Inc. are lifting spending by 77 per cent and 106 per cent, respectively. Its shares also slumped the most in five months.
“As the first so-called supermajor oil company to post year-end results, Chevron’s results may herald bleak news for an industry battered by the oil-market crash that began in mid 2014,” a report by Bloomberg said.
“After hundreds of thousands of job cuts, billions of dollars in asset sales and the accumulation of staggering debt loads to endure the collapse, investors have been optimistic that oil producers who survived the darkest days are on the cusp of a new era of growth,” the report added.
After the 2016 loss, Chevron probably will be able to cover all of its costs this year with cash flow and generate excess cash as soon as 2018, said Brian Youngberg, an analyst at Edward Jones and Co. in St. Louis.
Major oil and gas projects that required huge cash infusions during the past several years are mostly complete and poised to begin contributing profits, he said.
Fourth-quarter net income of $415 million, or 22 cents a share, was lower than all 20 estimates from analysts in a Bloomberg survey. During the final three months of 2016, the company’s refineries earned $357 million, less than half the $762 million expected by analysts at Barclays Plc.

Don't Eat Suya Without Vegetables — Expert Warns Nigerians

A professor of Community and Public Health Nutrition has sounded a note of warning to Nigerians over the consumption of barbecued beef popularly called Suya.

Consumers of barbecued beef popularly called “Suya” have been advised to always ensure that generous portions of onions, cabbage, tomatoes and other vegetables were eaten along with it.
Suya is generally made with skewered beef, ram, or chicken. Innards such as kidney, liver and tripe are also used.
The thinly sliced meat is marinated in various spices which include peanut cake, salt, vegetable oil and other flavourings, and then barbecued.
Ngozi Nnam, Professor of Community and Public Health Nutrition at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abuja.
Ms. Nnam said that there was a link between its consumption and increased risk of cancer, noting that consumption of suya garnished with onions and other vegetables has a strong cancer-lowering effect.
“Eating Suya can actually cause cancer. This comes from the reaction of meat and the smoke during Suya preparation which results in a toxic compound that can cause cancer.

“Smoking of the meat is what causes cancer. Some metabolites from food can cause cancer. What is important is to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables to increase antioxidants in the body.

“The antioxidants can neutralise or react with the toxic metabolite from food to prevent cancer,” she said.
According to her, Suya is good to eat with onions and cabbage because they react with the toxic substance produced by smoke to prevent cancer. “It is good to eat Suya with onions and other fruits and vegetables.’’
The nutritionist, however, urged Nigerians to consume more of fish than beef. She said that the major benefit of eating beef was that it provided needed protein for the individual.
“It is however healthier to eat fish than meat because some fish e.g. srumbia fish contain omega 6 fatty acid which is good for the body.

“Omega 6 fatty acid is also very good for infants because it is required for proper brain development.’’
In addition, she warned against the consumption of smoked fish, saying “again the problem with smoked fish is the toxic substance produced by the smoke. “If we can grill it, it will be better than smoking it,’’ she advised.
Ms. Nnam, also the President of Nutrition Society of Nigeria, said that the National Policy on Food and Nutrition has been implemented across the country.

“The National Policy on Food and Nutrition was launched during the Nutrition Week in September 2016 by the Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari.

“After the launch, the policy has been domesticated and being implemented in different states of the federation. The Ministry of Budget and National Planning is overseeing this activity with state nutrition officers,’’ she said.
The policy seeks to improve the nutritional status of all Nigerians, with particular emphasis on the most vulnerable groups including children, women, and the elderly.

TB Joshua Exposes Shrine Where Priests Enslave, Sleep With Vir-gins

A shocking clip about Ghana’s ‘trokosi system’ released last week by Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua’s YouTube channel ‘Emmanuel TV’ has gone viral.

The clip, titled ‘The Most SHOCKING Confession You May Ever Hear’, chronicles the heart-breaking ordeal of Mary Nenyo from Ghana’s Volta region and has raked up over 130,000 views in just a few days.

Emmanuel TV describes the 66-minute clip as “a bone-chillingly brutal tale of physical, mental, spiritual and s*xual slavery that will move even the stoniest of hearts to tears.”

Speaking at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria, Mary narrated how her family gave her as a “vir-gin sacrifice” to Korle Shrine in order to “atone for the sin” of her great-great-grandfather which was said to be behind the curse of premature deaths occurring in the family.

“They took me to the riverside and initiated me on a journey of no return… I was then introduced to an old priest as my husband,” she recounted, explaining that all this happened in her tender infancy.

The elderly fetish priest would s*xually satisfy himself with Mary at whim along with the other 500 maidens forcefully ‘imprisoned’ in the shrine.
“The priest would just point at you. He could call us chicken, goat or cow – because we were cows to him – then, he would sleep with us just like that,” she tearfully described.

Her duties included preparing ‘charms’ for people seeking protection at the shrine and beseeching the gods that more sin be committed so more innocent virgins could be entrapped into the vicious cycle.

As Mary grew older, she broke protocol by taking ventures outside the shrine’s confines, one day being spotted Unclad by a group of foreign tourists who took her picture.

Six months later, her ‘freedom’ was procured by the foreigners in conjunction with an NGO called ‘International Needs’, leading to the release of the 500 young girls who were in ritual servitude at the shrine.

However, physical liberation did not stop Mary from a living a life of spiritual slavery. Unable to trace her real family, Mary moved to 11 different locations but continued to experience “a series of rejection, maltreatment and abuse”.

Men had an unnerving s*xual attraction for her and exploited her innocence at will. “The demons would enter the men and make them sleep with me,” she stated, adding that each promiscuous encounter was followed by dismissal and hatred from the men involved.

Plagued by terrible nightmares of snakes and increasing mental instability, Mary eventually found herself begging on the streets for survival at Madina Market in Accra. There, she finally met a ‘Good Samaritan’ and narrated her sordid story to her.

“She said that the only person would could deliver me from all those demons was Prophet T.B. Joshua,” Mary explained, adding that the lady fully paid for her journey from Ghana to The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria.

After Mary was ‘delivered’ from the “demons that held her in bondage”, she stayed in the church for several weeks. “Before, I never knew I was a normal human being,” she testified, stating that she could sleep peacefully for the first time in her life after prayer.

T.B. Joshua used his influence and resources to locate Mary’s long-lost mother, who was residing in Ivory Coast, and brought her to Nigeria to meet with her daughter in an emotional reconciliation.

The SCOAN additionally gave $1,500 to Mary to start her life afresh. “I have seen powers upon powers but there is a power beyond powers – the God who used Prophet T.B. Joshua to liberate me from darkness,” the former slave concluded.

The video evoked a storm of reactions, with several of Joshua’s foreign supporters calling on the Ghanaian government to take urgent steps to address the “inhumane treatment” still being experienced by victims of the Trokosi system.

Police Shut Down Ondo House Of Assembly (VIDEO)

Following the misunderstanding crisis rocking the Ondo State House of Assembly continues on Monday morning as police shut the Assembly premises.

This was to prevent a fracas which would have occurred at the Assembly between factions loyal to Hon. Malachi Coker and Hon. Jumoke Akindele who are laying claim to the speakership seat.Coker’s faction impeached Akindele last Friday evening but the woman insisted that she remain the speaker because her removal did not meet the constitutional requirement.

The Nation learnt gathered that the legislators in Coker’s camp gained entrance to the Assembly premises as early as 6:00 a.m.? on Monday

Coker immediately sat on the speaker’s seat in readiness for the day’s plenary.

The Akindele’s faction later stormed the Assembly and the embattled speaker personally challenged Coker that he has no right to sit on the speaker’s seat.

But Coker told her she is no longer the Assembly speaker because she had been impeached.

This caused altercation between the two factions.

Police operatives led by the state Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison, who were already at the Assembly premises to prevent breakdown of law and order, stormed the House chamber and ordered the lawmakers including the workers to leave the place immediately.

SSS Versus Apostle Suleman: Let The Truth Be Told — Inibehe Effiong

Inibehe Effiong
It is politically correct and simplistic for anyone to demand the arrest and prosecution of Apostle Johnson Suleiman, the outspoken and controversial Founder and General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries over his recent belligerent utterances against those said by the Nigerian government to be aliens from Mali, Niger, Chad and other neighboring countries; the so-called Fulani herdsmen.
That is what is expected of any die-hard supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari who may be motivated either by ethnic, religious or political sentiments and considerations. It perfectly fits into the narrative of those seeking to divert attention from the unabated mass murder of Nigerian citizens by ‘’foreigners’’ in Southern Kaduna and other parts of the country and the troubling silence of the Nigerian state.
For me, it is Nigeria first. Loyalty to our nation and its Constitution should always take precedence over political, ethnic or religious affiliations. Are we not ashamed as Nigerian citizens that the State Security Service (SSS) is taking action against Apostle Suleiman, a citizen, for making inciting statements in response to the Southern Kaduna massacre when no single person is on record as having been arrested and prosecuted for the killing of defenseless Nigerians, whether Christians or Muslims, in Kaduna State by ‘’foreigners’’?.
I refuse to join the mob calling for the head of Apostle Suleiman, not because I am a Christian or a Southerner but because my spirit, soul and body resent, detest and reject hypocrisy, injustice and oppression in every form. If Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State could shamelessly use taxpayers money to settle or compensate alleged murderers who he also claimed are foreigners in his unserious attempt to dissuade them from their murderous and satanic proclivity, what justification does anyone have to demand the prosecution of Apostle Suleiman for basically calling for self-defense, though in a rather bellicose language?
Governor El-Rufai who is on record for issuing divisive, irresponsible, inciting and dangerous threats and statements in the past without being arrested or prosecuted, further legitimized the insane culture of appeasement of criminals in Nigeria by seeking a truce with alleged murderers instead of bringing them to justice and compensating the victims. If there is no other person that knows those who take senseless pride in shedding innocent blood of human beings because their cows have been attacked or killed, Governor El-Rufai knows them, on his own admission.
The Nigerian state and the SSS or DSS cannot be strong with those calling for self-defense and weak with those who are the real perpetrators of violence and mass murder. It is an unprovoked assault on the intelligence of patriotic Nigerians for the SSS to swiftly go after Apostle Suleiman when the alleged murderers who instigated his bellicose and unfortunate statements are walking freely. That is not just a case of double standard but an audacious and tragic statement that in Nigeria under President Buhari, the criminal justice system is skewed to protect the killers and hunt those calling for self-defense or revenge against the alleged killers.
Is there any self-respecting and truthful person in Nigeria today that will deny the complicity and utter nonchalant disposition of the Buhari's administration to the killings and destruction by the so-called Fulani herdsmen? Why are we pretending as if we are oblivious of the conspiratorial inaction of the federal government to the mass killing of Nigerians across the country by the herdsmen?
Who has been prosecuted for the Agatu massacre in Benue State? Who has been prosecuted for Nimbo massacre in Uzo-Uwani of Enugu State? Who has been prosecuted for the serial murder of protesting Shiite Muslims in the North? Who has been prosecuted for the continuous killing of Pro-Biafra agitators in the East? Do the lives of our people really matter to President Buhari?
Like many Nigerians, I was outraged by the statements made by Apostle Suleiman after watching the video. Religious leaders should foster the bond of unity, preach peaceful co-existence and not be the instigators of anarchy. Not all Fulani herdsmen are murderers. There are criminal elements in every tribe and religion. We should never submit to the temptation to stigmatize or label an entire religion or tribe for the criminality of its disgruntled members.
The herdsmen have their grievances which should be attended to. Similarly, the host communities and farmers also have their grievances. The bottom line is that no person or group of persons should be excused and protected by the Nigerian state for embarking on mass murder because his or their cows or farmlands or crops have been killed or destroyed, as the case may be.
A deeper and dispassionate introspection on this matter evinces a fact that many commentators and public intellectuals are shying away from. The fact that if the President Buhari-led administration had fulfilled her primary purpose under Section 14 (2) (b) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) by prioritizing the security and welfare of its citizens, there would have been no calls for self-defense and revenge against the continuous attacks by the herdsmen.
Mr. Buhari failed, refused or neglected to act responsibly when the crisis between the herdsmen, their host communities and farmers reared its ugly head at the inception of his administration. The apparent inaction and seeming complicity of the President and other leaders like Governor El-Rufai allowed the crisis to fester and emboldened the herdsmen to continue to kill people indiscriminately at the slightest provocation.
It is because the Nigerian state under President Buhari is confused as to whose life is more important; between that of a human being in Southern Kaduna, Nimbo, Agatu or any other part of the country and a cow, that we now have a situation where those accused of mass murder are protected and compensated while the victims are abandoned and left unprotected and those who react fiercely or irresponsibly to the shameful and pathetic dilemma of the Nigerian state like Apostle Suleiman, are speedily targeted by the institutions of the state.
Get this clear: Apostle Suleiman is not above the law. He is not immune from arrest and prosecution. What we are saying is that it is unacceptable for the SSS to go after him over his bellicose utterances when the killers of innocent Nigerian Christians and Muslims are walking freely. This is not the time for anyone to pretend to love the rule of law more than others. Let justice be done and the law enforced without ethnic, religious or political bias.
Self-defense is a fundamental right recognized and guaranteed by Section 33 (2) (a) of the Nigerian Constitution. There is nothing unlawful in calling on those whom the Nigerian state has failed to protect and rescue from the murderous grip and attacks of blood thirsty criminals to defend themselves. If Apostle Suleiman went beyond the constitutional allowances of self-defense and freedom of expression, let the law take its course.
However, it will be an aberration for Apostle Suleiman to be punished or persecuted over his utterances when the real perpetrators of the violence and the mindless killings that he complained of are left to go unpunished. Justice should be blind to all persons irrespective of their race, religion, sex, ethnicity or political leaning.
