An ex-soldier, identified as Sunday Umaru, has been arrested by the Plateau State Police Command for killing his girlfriend after he saw some text messages on her phone.
Sunday Umaru, who served in the 3rd Armoured Division of the Nigerian Army, but attached to Sector 7 of Operation Save Haven, Jos (OPSH), was alleged to have stabbed his lover, Charity Thomas, in the stomach in the Riyom Local Government Area, which led to her death.

Here is what he said: "He said, “While going through her phone, he saw some text messages from other men which made him lose his temper.”

The solider has be automatically dismissed from the Nigeria military and now he's facing court
