The OGSIEC which had recently conducted
the October 8 Local Government election across the state also said that the
plans to purchase the vehicles was to ease transportation within the
commission.
The
Chairman of OGSIEC, Alhaja. Risikat Ogunfemi stated this at the defense of the
2017 budget before the state house of assembly committee on finance and
appropriation.
Ogunfemi
further explained that the vehicles include a Toyota corolla (Second hand) and
two new Toyota Hilux .
She added that the commission also
plans to spend five million naira on the purchase of office furniture, while
N3.2million would be spent on purchase of computers in the 2017 fiscal year.
While
proposing the commission 2017 budget, the OGSIEC chairman said the total
expenditure proposed is N320million, while the overhead and personnel cost
would gulp a sum of N200million and N70million respectively.
She
added that the capital expenditure proposed for the 2017 is N50miliion out of
the N320million total expenditure.
