Pastor Kumuyi |
The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor
William Kumuyi has advised the Federal Government to invite Nigerians in the Diaspora
to make contribution for the recovery of the economy.
Speaking yesterday at the Glorious Liberation Sunday Worship
service at the Enyimba International Stadium Aba, Kumuyi said that Nigerians
were doing well all over the world in their various fields of endeavour and
ad-vised the Federal Government to tap their expertise to rejuvenate the
economy. Addressing journalists at the end of the combined service, the founder
of Deeper Life Bible Church, said that it would be unfair to say that the
political class has no solution to the nation’s problems.
“Let’s make use of our people. We can invite Nigerians in the
Diaspora to assist us at this time,” the Pastor said. He explained that the
service conducted in the state as in other parts of the country became
necessary at the moment because the people needed change in every aspect of
their lives.
According to him: “Just as the ordinary people need God’s
intervention for the blind to see, the lame to walk, the sick to be well and
the oppressed to be free, the political class also need wisdom and ideas for
sustainable development.”
He also advised religious leaders especially, the Deeper Life
Bible Church to look for means of reaching the people in need, especially the
rural people and touching their lives positively. “That God will open our eyes
to see the people in need. People in the rural areas, what are their needs some
are sick, what can we do to help them, orphans, widows, not just for church
work,” he said.
