There was anxiety in the camp of the Ogun State
governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun over the alleged infiltration of 'black
sheep' who were described as the loyalists of Senator Olalekan
Adeola that leaks the government's secrets to him.
Amosun was said to have uncovered one suspect,
his Special Assistant on Media,Ogunpola Damillola and has reportedly
sacked him.
Damoche as fondly called had been defending Amosun's government
since he became governor of the state.
But, his loyalty was suspected and was reported to have
been caught allegedly hobnobbing with Senator Adeola, popularly
called Yayi.
Senator Adeola is a
Senator representing Lagos West, but eyeing governorship seat in
the coming 2019 election in Ogun state.
Yayi as fondly called has pouched
some supporters of Amosun in many local government areas in Ogun state
two years to the election.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that Amosun
camp has reportedly launched a secret detective measure to uncover anyone who
is still in government, but, has loyalty for Yayi.
Damoche became number one scape goat
as he was acussed of having serious relationship with, Yayi,
who is marked as a perceived government enemy.
It was gathered that after caving
into the pressure by some party bigwigs and top government officials, the
governor who had reportedly ordered the sack of Damoche
changed his mind and accepted his resignation letter .
Confirming his resignation , Damoche
while responding to a post on a Facebook account, said he had already
resigned.
He said "I have already
resigned and moved on. It's an honour to have been part of the success story of
Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
"He's one of my greatest
benefactor and I will always hold him in high esteem. I have no regrets
defending and promoting his government".
Further findings have shown that his
problem with Amosun emanated from a report from a driver in the government
house who exposed Damoche of romancing with Yayi.
Inner source reported that, the
driver saw Damoche lodging in the same hotel with Yayi and raised the alarm.
According to the source,
Damoche did not go to the hotel to meet with Yayi. He had never been disloyal.
He went on a separate mission to a hotel where coincidentally Yayi was lodging.
"But, a governor House
driver saw him and told high authority.
"He was summoned and questioned
over the allegation and he narrated his own side of the story to the
governor , but, the governor chose to believe that driver story.
"The governor was not happy at
all and left for him Damoche should be sacked but, pressure was too much on him
which prompted him to ask the former media aide to resign".
